I am advocating for Breanna in her urgent search for a living kidney donor. Like the 100,000 others waiting for a deceased donor kidney, Breanna faces a long, difficult road. But a living donor would change everything for her and her family.
Breanna is a devoted mom of three who works hard every day to give her kids the best life possible. But right now, her health makes that so much harder. She often feels dizzy and completely worn out before the day even begins. Leaving home is almost impossible with the number of supplies she has to bring. What she misses most is feeling like herself—healthy, full of energy, and able to be the mom and person she wants to be. It’s hard for me to see her struggle day-to-day and then deal with the stress of being on a waitlist (for a deceased donor) that has 100,000 other people on it.
