My journey with kidney disease started when I was in my mid-twenties, but it’s not something that defines me. Despite being diagnosed with kidney failure, I’ve stayed determined. I work a physically demanding job every day, take blood pressure medicine, and follow a strict renal diet. I’m also studying to get my GED, participating in church activities, and staying connected to my community.
The idea of receiving a living kidney donation means more to me than just a medical solution. It represents determination—my determination to continue living life to the fullest. It’s a chance for me to stay healthy, to be there for my loved ones, and to keep pushing forward with the things I care about.
Living donation would help me avoid dialysis, and it would give me the opportunity to focus on the future, not just the uncertainty of kidney failure.
If you’re thinking about becoming a living kidney donor, please visit my website and fill out the short contact form. You’ll receive immediate guidance from a Navigator—a living donor who has gone through the process themselves. Your determination could give me the chance to continue mine.
