Waiting for a transplant is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. There are so many unknowns. So much is out of my hands. I do not know when the call will come or if it will come at all. Every day brings questions I cannot answer and emotions that are difficult to explain. It is a journey that tests not only my physical strength but my patience and hope too.
In the middle of all this uncertainty, what keeps me going is the kindness and support I receive from others. Whether it is a thoughtful message or just someone checking in to ask how I am doing—it all matters. These gestures may seem small to some but to me they are everything.
I have learned that strength does not mean doing everything on your own. It means accepting help when you need it and knowing that you are not alone in your struggle. I am surrounded by people who care and that gives me hope. That gives me courage.
So today and every day I want to say thank you. I am grateful for every bit of help I receive. You may not realize it but your support makes a real difference. It reminds me that I am not just waiting—I am living through this with love beside me.
