It’s never easy to ask for help, especially when the request is so deeply personal. Ryan has been battling kidney disease for over 7 years, facing the daily challenges of this illness and all that it brings—fatigue, uncertainty, and the weight of a future that depends on finding a living kidney donor. Currently, Ryan is one of over 100,000 people in the U.S. waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant. It can take years to find a match, and while he waits, my worry is that his health may continue to decline.
But despite all the hurdles he’s faced, the one thing that remains unwavering is his hope for a better future. Ryan dreams of living a normal life, filled with more energy and the ability to enjoy the activities he loves, without feeling so worn out. He’s a devoted husband, a caring family member, and a fighter who remains hopeful in his search for a donor.
Here’s something I recently learned that’s really cool: when someone donates a kidney, the remaining kidney grows to take over the full function needed for the body. It’s incredible how the body adapts to provide such a profound gift.
As Ryan’s advocate, I’m here to help spread the word and ask anyone who can to consider becoming a living kidney donor. Every share, every conversation, and every connection brings us closer to finding a match. Please take a moment to read Ryan’s story and help us spread the word. https://giftworksuuh.com/ryans/
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Together, we can make a life-changing difference for Ryan.
