Waiting for a transplant is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Every day is filled with uncertainty. I do not know when the call will come or if it will come at all. There are so many things beyond my control and so many questions that do not have answers. Will today be the day? Will my health hold up long enough? It is a constant emotional and physical challenge.
But through all of this, what continues to lift me up is support. The smallest act of kindness makes a difference. Whether it is someone sharing my story or just reaching out to check in, it reminds me that I am not alone. A conversation, a prayer, or simply spreading awareness about organ donation can ripple out in ways none of us may ever fully see.
A small action could have a huge impact on my life. Signing up to be an organ donor, encouraging others to do the same, or helping to raise awareness can be life changing for people like me. It gives hope. It gives time. It gives another chance.
