Steve is a retired military veteran who had big plans to travel and spend time with his children and grandchildren, but dialysis, which he undergoes three times a week, has made those plans difficult. The toll of dialysis leaves him drained, often preventing him from doing much else. Despite all this, Steve remains hopeful for a better future, one where he can travel freely and spend more time with his loved ones.
