As many of you know, I have been actively seeking a living kidney donor. Over the past six months, my search has become more urgent, but I have yet to receive news of a donor being selected. If you have already come forward, I am deeply grateful and admire your bravery, even if I don’t personally know everyone who has taken this courageous step.

I have been battling Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) since 2020, and now I urgently need to find a suitable living kidney donor to save my life. Asking for this monumental gift has been incredibly difficult and leaves me feeling very vulnerable. But the urgency of my situation forces me to keep trying. My kidney disease is worsening, and each day without a transplant is a struggle. Although I am on the waitlist for a deceased donor kidney, with over 100,000 others also waiting, it could take over five years for me to receive one. Time is not on my side.

When I found out I made it on the transplant waitlist, I was extremely happy. This opportunity could potentially change my life, as kidney disease prevents me from doing the things I once loved.
