Maya Angelou once said, “Giving liberates the soul of the giver.” There’s something deeply transformative about selfless giving—it doesn’t just change the life of the receiver; it changes the heart of the giver, too.
Right now, I’m searching for a living kidney donor, someone who can give me the chance to live a healthier, fuller life. It’s a big ask, I know. But those who have donated a kidney often say it was one of the most meaningful things they’ve ever done. They don’t feel a sense of loss—they feel a profound sense of purpose, knowing they’ve saved a life.
A healthy person can live a long, vibrant life with one kidney. But for me, receiving a kidney would mean freedom from dialysis, renewed energy, and more time with the people I love.
If you’ve ever considered organ donation, I’d love to share more about the process. Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing this post might help connect me with someone who can: www.giftworksuuuh.com/richardm
Giving is powerful. It’s life-changing. And it truly does liberate the soul.
