When I learned I was on the transplant waitlist, I was overjoyed and very hopeful for the future. Kidney disease prevents me from being active and doing some of the things I love. But a kidney transplant could help change that. Being on the kidney transplant waitlist doesn’t guarantee a quick match. Many of us, including me, could wait 5 years or more.
