It’s never easy to ask for help, especially when the request is so deeply personal. But today, I want to share the story of someone truly special: Thuan.
Thuan has spent his life giving to others—with his time, his heart, and his unwavering kindness. He’s a quiet, steady force of compassion who never seeks the spotlight, but always shows up when someone else is in need.
Over the past few years, Thuan’s health has taken a drastic turn. Years of high blood pressure led to kidney disease, and now his kidneys are failing. He’s been on dialysis since 2023, but dialysis is only a temporary solution. What he urgently needs is a lifesaving kidney transplant.
Right now, Thuan is one of more than 100,000 people in the U.S. waiting for a kidney. The wait can take years—time that Thuan may not have. A transplant from a living donor offers him the best chance to reclaim his health and continue doing what he loves most: helping others.
Here’s something incredible I learned—when someone donates a kidney, the remaining one grows and adapts to do the work of both. The human body is amazing, and so is the gift of living donation.
I’m sharing Thuan’s story today because I believe in him, and I believe in the power of community. If you or someone you know might be willing to learn more about becoming a living kidney donor, please visit his website: https://giftworksuuh.com/thuant/
