Holding On to Hope: My Journey with Kidney Disease

Living with polycystic kidney disease has been an incredibly tough journey, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. Over the years, I’ve had to be resilient in ways I never thought I’d need to be. Kidney disease doesn’t just affect the body; it takes a toll on every part of your life. I’ve missed out on so much—time with my family, the ability to be as active as I once was, and even the energy to focus fully at work. I’m grateful for the job I still have, but the constant fatigue and daily dialysis treatments remind me of how much I’ve had to adapt to. https://giftworksuuh.com/veronicar/

But despite all the challenges, I continue to fight for my life. I’m not alone in this fight. My husband has been my rock, always there to support me, alongside my sister, who has gone through her own kidney transplant journey, and my incredible friends and coworkers who cheer me on every day.

I’m still hopeful that a living donor will step forward to help me. Living donation is a gift beyond words. It not only offers me a chance at a healthier, longer life, but it also gives the donor something incredible in return: the ability to change someone’s future forever. Living donors don’t just save lives—they give hope.

I still need a donor, and if you’re interested or know someone who might be, please visit my GiftWorks website and complete the short contact form. You’ll receive guidance from a Living Donor Navigator, someone who has donated a kidney and can help you through the process. https://giftworksuuh.com/veronicar/

Thank you for considering this life-changing gift.
