Living with kidney disease has tested me in ways I never imagined. It’s not just the physical challenges – the fatigue, the lab work, and the constant worry – it’s the emotional toll, too. There have been days when I’ve missed out on simple joys with my family, moments at work I wanted to give my full attention to, and even just the energy to be present in life. Kidney disease doesn’t just affect the body; it reaches into every corner of your life. https://giftworksuuh.com/kevina/
Through it all, I’ve had to be resilient. I’ve had to fight every day to stay strong, to manage my health, and to keep moving forward even when it felt impossible. I couldn’t have done this alone. My wife Amy, my three kids, my supportive in-laws, my mom and sister, and my church family have been my rock. Their love and encouragement keep me focused and give me strength, even on the hardest days.
Even with all the challenges, I am still hopeful. I am hopeful that a living donor will step forward and give me the chance at a new kidney. Living donation is an incredible gift – it can give me renewed energy, a better quality of life, and the ability to truly live again. And while it changes my life, it also changes the life of the donor in ways that are hard to put into words. So many living donors share stories of how rewarding it feels to save a life and give hope – a gift beyond words.
I still need a donor, and if you or someone you know is willing to consider helping, please complete the short, confidential contact form on my GiftWorks website: https://giftworksuuh.com/kevina/. You’ll receive guidance from a Living Donor Navigator, someone who has donated a kidney themselves and can answer your questions every step of the way.
