The wait for a kidney transplant is long, and every day brings its own set of challenges. There are so many unknowns, and it’s easy to feel like I have no control over my future. But despite all of the difficulties, I know I’m not alone. The support I’ve received from friends, family, and even strangers has been a constant source of hope.
Waiting for a transplant is tough. My health continues to decline, and the exhaustion weighs on me. I’ve had to make drastic changes in my life, including retiring earlier than planned and navigating the sudden loss of both of my parents. But through it all, I’ve held onto hope, and that hope is fueled by the kindness and support I’ve received from people like you.
