Let’s Helo Michael Find His Lifesaving Donor

It’s never easy to ask for help — especially when the request is as personal as this. Michael has been living with kidney disease since 1986. In 2022, his kidneys failed, and he started dialysis. It keeps him alive, but it also steals his energy, his time, and his freedom. Watching someone you care about go through that is heartbreaking.

Michael is more than a patient — he’s a devoted husband to Tracey, a father to four, and a proud grandfather to 11 amazing grandkids. He’s also a veteran who enlisted in the military at 17 and served our country for nine years. He has always given to others. Now, he needs someone to step forward for him.

Michael is one of over 100,000 people in the U.S. waiting for a lifesaving kidney transplant. Finding a living donor could change everything — it means a shorter wait and a better outcome. But it can take years to find the right person, and while he waits, my worry is that his health will decline.

Despite everything, Michael remains hopeful. I’m hopeful too.

Here’s something incredible I recently learned: when someone donates a kidney, the remaining kidney actually grows to handle the full workload. The body adapts in remarkable ways to support such a generous gift.

As Michael’s advocate, I’m asking you to help. Please read and share his story. Every post, every conversation, and every kind gesture brings us closer to the miracle he’s waiting for. To learn more about Michael and his search for a living donor, please visit: https://giftworksuuh.com/michaelm/
