Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out to share something very personal, and honestly, a little difficult to talk about.
I’ve been living with kidney disease for the past seven years. For the last three, dialysis has kept me alive—but it’s not living in the way most people imagine. It’s exhausting, physically and emotionally. It’s hours out of my day, multiple times a week, and it affects everything from how I feel to what I can do.
Now, I’m at the point where I need a lifesaving kidney transplant.
The waitlist for a deceased donor can take five years or more—and while I wait, my health will only continue to decline. It’s a frightening reality that I carry with me every single day. But what gives me hope is the possibility of finding a living donor.
A living donor could mean a shorter wait, a better match, and a healthier future. It means fewer complications, more stability, and a real chance at getting my life back. To wake up with energy again, to travel, to laugh freely with my family without worrying about machines or medications—that’s what I’m holding on to.
It’s hard to ask for help like this. But if you or someone you know would consider being a living donor, it could truly change my life. You can learn more here: https://giftworksuuh.com/ryans/
Thank you for reading. Your support, your kindness—it means the world to me.
