Thank you for your interest in the GiftWorks Program. GiftWorks helps recipients share their stories and connect with potential living donors by providing tools, coaching, and community support. Our mission is to make the search for a living donor easier and more effective, while also educating and supporting living donors along the way.

Program Update

We are hopeful that a new session of GiftWorks will be opening soon at the University of Utah Health. Our team is working closely with the transplant center to finalize the start date. Once the program officially opens, you will likely receive an announcement through MyChart from the transplant team. You may also sign up to receive updates when our next session is available.

Attend GiftWorks Connect Calls: Every Tuesday at 7:00 PM MST on Zoom, we host open calls for recipients. The link and details are posted weekly in our Facebook group. You are welcome to join us anytime.

Recipients in the program gain access to a wide range of tools and guidance, including:

  • One-on-one coaching to help you feel confident in sharing your story.
  • Personalized websites to tell your story and make it easy for potential donors to connect.
  • Social media support with shareable posts, graphics, and scripts.
  • Print materials such as flyers, business cards, and car magnets to spread the word locally.
  • A supportive community of peers, recipient guides, and mentors who understand what you’re going through.

How GiftWorks Supports Living Donors

GiftWorks also provides dedicated support to people who step forward as potential donors:

  • Education about the living donation process, rights, and protections.
  • Access to Living Donor Navigators—experienced living donors who mentor and answer questions.
  • Ongoing support during the testing and donation process, ensuring they never feel alone.
  • Appreciation gifts and recognition, because generosity deserves to be honored.
