Still Fighting, Still Hopeful

Living with kidney disease isn’t just a physical battle—it’s emotional, mental, and deeply personal. I was only 16 when I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. Since then, my life has been a cycle of dialysis, transplants, and trying to hold onto hope. I’ve had two kidney transplants, and after both failed, I was placed back on dialysis—where I still am today, three times a week.

This disease has affected every corner of my life. I’ve missed out on growing my career, building deeper relationships, and even the simple joy of swimming—something I used to love. Because of my chest catheter, I haven’t been able to go in the water for years. Things others take for granted, like choosing what to wear or being able to travel, have been out of reach for me. https://giftworksuuh.com/rindeel/

But even through the pain and the setbacks, I continue to fight. And I’m not alone. My mom is my best friend and strongest supporter. My sister, brother, and nieces and nephews are the heartbeat of my world. And my little dog reminds me daily that life is still full of love and light.

I’m still hopeful that a living donor will come forward—someone who sees the power in giving the gift of life. Living donation offers better outcomes, faster recovery, and gives people like me a second chance.

There are so many inspiring stories of donors who say it was the most meaningful thing they’ve ever done. They don’t just save lives—they give hope.

If you’re curious about donation, please visit my website and fill out the short contact form. You’ll be connected with a GiftWorks Living Donor Navigator—someone who has donated before and can walk you through the process with compassion and care. It’s 100% confidential. https://giftworksuuh.com/rindeel/
