It’s never easy to ask for help—especially when the request is this personal. Rindee has been battling kidney disease since she was just 16 years old. A simple migraine led to an ER visit, where her dangerously high blood pressure revealed end-stage renal disease. Since then, her life has revolved around dialysis treatments, medical appointments, and the constant search for a transplant.
She’s had two kidney transplants, both of which eventually failed. Now back on dialysis three days a week, she continues to fight with courage and grace. But what makes Rindee truly special is her spirit. Despite everything, she remains hopeful. She dreams of working full time again, building her career, traveling, swimming, and—this might sound small, but it’s huge to her—wearing the clothes she loves without being tethered to a chest catheter. She just wants her life back.
Right now, Rindee is one of over 100,000 people in the U.S. waiting for a kidney transplant. But did you know the wait can be cut dramatically if a living donor steps forward? Even more amazing—when someone donates a kidney, their remaining kidney actually grows to handle all the work alone.
As Rindee’s advocate, I’m asking for your help. Please consider sharing her story. You never know who in your network might be inspired to take the next step. Every share, every conversation, every act of compassion matters.
