#ThankYou to anyone who takes a moment to read my story.
I’ve been living with kidney disease since 2011, and it has completely changed how I experience life. In 2022, after a period of serious illness, I started dialysis. For over 2 years, I’ve made my appointments and daily activities revolve around dialysis treatments, spending 12 hours a week hooked to a machine. After each session, I’m exhausted, and it often feels like my days slip away before I can enjoy them with my family.
But I don’t give up, because I know a living donor transplant is the best chance for me to live the life I used to. I dream of riding my motorcycle again, taking trips in my motorhome, and simply enjoying time with my daughters and grandchildren without dialysis holding me back.
To my future donor, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ll be forever in my prayers, and I’ll be endlessly grateful for your incredible gift.
