I’m reaching out today because I’m in need of a kidney transplant to help me live a healthier, fuller life. When I was just a year old, I was diagnosed with H.U.S, a condition that caused me to lose part of my large intestine and led to kidney failure. I was fortunate to receive a kidney transplant from my mom in 2002, which allowed me to live a normal life for over 20 years. However, since December 2021, I’ve been back on dialysis three times a week, and now, I’m in need of another kidney.
My family means everything to me, and they’ve been my biggest support through this journey. Right now, my kidney disease is holding me back from living life the way I want to. Simple things like going on trips with my family or just feeling well enough to enjoy daily life are no longer possible. Dialysis and the effects of kidney failure leave me feeling exhausted, but I dream of a future where I can live freely again.
A new kidney would change everything for me. I’d have the energy and health to be more active with my family, to travel, to work, and to feel like myself again.
