I was very happy to learn that I would be on the transplant waiting list. Getting a kidney transplant would mean that I wouldn’t feel tired all of the time and would allow me to partake in family trips with my loved ones.
But being on the waitlist for a deceased kidney transplant doesn’t guarantee a quick transplant. Many of us, myself included, endure waits of five years or more. It’s a challenging journey battling kidney disease during this time, and so much can change while I wait. That’s why I’m sharing my story so openly.
My hope is to touch someone’s heart who might consider becoming a living kidney donor. If you would like to help share my story, please share this post and spread the word about my website. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for your support.
